An online survey conducted on veterans by researchers from Veterans Affairs Portland Health Care System, Oregon Health and Science University revealed that the participants in the survey that were able to have in-person contact with another individual a few times a week had a 50% lower chance of both PTSD symptoms and major depression symptoms.
